General managers like to keep tabs on certain players. The Player Shortlist menu option (Manager Menu >> Info and Tools section >> Player Shortlist) serves that purpose:

Want to keep tabs on that shortstop you covet? Want to follow the career of a player you almost picked in the draft, but decided against at the last moment? This screen lists all players that you have added to your "shortlist" of players to watch. On this page, you can take advantage of OOTP's Views, Filters, and many of the Common Drop-downs and Common Action Menus. Review those sections to get a better understanding of how to manipulate the data on this screen to suit your needs.

Shortlisting Players

To add a player to your shortlist, you have two options:

• Click the Shortlist action button that appears at the bottom right of each screen in the Player Profile.
• Right-click on any hyperlinked name and select Shortlist Player from the right-click menu.

When you shortlist a player, you do not receive any special notification, but they will be visible the next time you visit the Player Shortlist page. You can also elect to receive news about players and personnel that you have shortlisted by changing your News Subscription Settings on the Manager Options screen or the News and Mail page.

Removing People from Shortlists

It's just as easy to remove players from your shortlist. You can use the exact same methods you used to add the player, except that for players who are already on a shortlist, the option will read Unshortlist.
