Shopping Players
Setting player trade statuses and checking out the Trading Block are two ways to begin to work a deal. Another possibility is OOTP's Shop a Player feature. Shopping a player asks all computer-run teams to provide a list of players they would consider trading straight-up for the player you are shopping. You can shop up to three players each day. Shopping a player only results in possible 1-for-1 deals. The AI will not offer multi-player packages in return. The nice thing about shopping a player is that it gives you a pretty good sense of how other teams value the player you are looking to move.
The second way is go to the Shop a Player page directly, by navigating to League Menu >> Trade >> Shop a Player. In either case, you are brought to the following page:
If you came to the page through a right-click menu, you will already see the results of your shopping, as in the graphic above. If you came directly to the page without first selecting a player, you can shop a player by dragging him from your roster to the Selected Player box in the top left.
Note: It's getting harder than ever to pull the wool over the AI's eyes. Shopping a player will not always result in return offers! Remember, you can also change the difficulty of trading through the global trading options!

Acting on Shopped Player Results
Remember, shopping a player returns one-for-one offers. Once you have received return offers, like those above, you can immediately initiate a trade for any of the offered players by clicking the Trade link next to that player. Doing this will initiate a trade involving those two players. The players will have been automatically inserted into the transaction, but you can still customize the deal further before submitting the trade.Note: It's getting harder than ever to pull the wool over the AI's eyes.
