Reserve Rosters
A reserve roster is a construct that holds additional players in the case where no affiliated minor league teams exist. You can use the reserve roster to hold a handful of reserves in case your parent league team has injuries. As with the active roster, the reserve roster is visible by default in the Transactions page, in the top right corner.
Reserve rosters only exist for teams that do not have affiliated minor league teams, so if you have affiliated minors, don't go looking for the reserve roster! Depending on the configuration of your league and affiliations, it is possible (although rare) to have some teams in a league that have reserve rosters, and some that do not.
Reserve rosters in OOTP can hold up to 200 players, minus the number of players on the active roster.
Players on a reserve roster do not generate statistics, since they are not actively playing in any games. However, reserve players do continue to practice, with the result that they will continue to develop skills just as if they were putting up average minor league numbers.
