Pre-Draft Activities
Once the draft pool has been announced, as a GM there are numerous pre-draft activities that can and should occur:
Once you have finished all of these activities to your satisfaction, advance the game date to the date of the draft. Then it's time to confirm the draft rules and order, and then hold the draft!
- View players in the Draft Pool, and begin to plot your draft strategy which, if you have Advanced Draftee Signing enabled, will now require you to consider your team's draft budget, player signing bonus demands and player signability in addition to the player ratings.
- View the First-Year Player Draft Order (for First-year Player Drafts)
- Submit your protection lists (for Expansion Drafts)
- View your Transaction Overviewscreenand make sure that you have protected all the Rule 5 Draft eligible players that you wish to protect (for Rule 5 Drafts). See Rule 5 Draft Roster Rules and Rule 5 Draft Eligibility for more information.
- Fill out and submit your Draft List (for online leagues only)
