Global Setup
The Global Setup page (OOTP Menu >> Game Setup >> Global Setup tab) contains options that affect all of the leagues within your saved game:
With the exception of the Report Options and Global Database Functions described below, all of the options on this page are described in detail in the Game Options that we covered during the game creation process.
In addition to these options, you can also use the buttons in the lower right to add leagues to your saved game via templates or by adding a league using the League Creation Wizard.

Report Options
The Report Options defines how OOTP should generate its Top Prospects report. By default, the list of top prospects will only be updated annually, in a similar fashion to real-world prospect reports in magazines. However, from this page, you can choose to have the Top Prospects report updated dynamically, meaning that the prospects listed on the report could change from day to day.Global Database Functions
In OOTP, player name and injury data can be customized. The Global Database Functions allow you to re-import customize name and injury data. For example, you could use one set of injuries while your historical simulation is in the early 1900s and another set of injuries when your simulation reaches modern times.Option | Description |
Re-Import Name and Ethnicity Database | Re-imports the names.txt, first_names.txt, and nicknames.txt files into the game. This also controls the division of player ethnicities in fictional pictures. See Customizing Names for more information. |
Re-Import Injury Database | This option reimports the injuries.txt file into the game. (The off_field_injuries.txt file is automatically reimported each time you load your game.) See Customizing Injuries for more information. |
