Owner Goals

Your owner may set Owner Goals if they have a specific task they want accomplished.

Teams will be checked multiple times per year for a new owner goal. You can have a maximum of 5 active goals; getting additional goals will also become less likely if yoou have multiple goals open. Note that you will not receive any goals if you have Do Not Disturb active or have either the Transactions or Initiate and React to Trades Team Control settings on Assistant. If the owner sells the team or retires, his goals go with him: all current owner goals will be cleared.

You will receive e-mail notification when a new goal is set, and the goals are also tracked on Job Security screen, which lists when they were issues, how high a priority they are, and the exact nature of the goal.

"Acquiring" a player means adding him to the team's contracted players by any means - trade, transfer, free agency, waivers, or any draft that involves the transfer of player contracts - i.e. drafts that do not change contract status, like the NHL Entry Draft, do not fulfill the conditions, but drafts like Expansion/Intraleague/Waiver Drafts do qualify.

"Getting rid of" a player means doing something that results in the player no longer being contracted to the team - trade, release, passively allowing him to become a free agent, etc. qualify, but loaning him to a farm team or another team does not.

If you completes a goal, you'll be notified and your job security will improve.

If you fail to complete a goal by the specified time, you'll be notified and your job security will decrease. Thw owner may also opt to give you more time to complete the goal.

The specific amount of job security gained/lost will depend on the priority of the goal: higher priorities mean bigger changes. You'll lose more security for failing a goal than you'll gain for achieveing one.
