System Requirements

The performance of OOTP is highly dependent upon the league configuration you select. The size of the game world you create, the number of years you simulate, together with the system settings you select, can make the demands on your system vary widely. The minimum and recommended specs for OOTP are listed below, but bear in mind that a system with the minimum specs will only be able to handle the simplest of game structures. Unless you have the most powerful of computers, we recommend you approach your league creation cautiously, to ensure that it will perform as desired with your hardware.

System Requirement Notes
  • An active Internet connection is preferred, as it is used to license the game, for online play, and to keep online help files up-to-date. However, it is possible to play OOTP with no Internet connection.
  • OOTP supports all screen resolutions of 1024 x 768 and higher. Dual monitors are also supported. Your video card must support Open GL in order to use the fictional face generation feature, although some older video cards may not be able to handle the fictional face generator. Without Open GL support, you can still play Out of the Park Baseball, but you will be unable to use the fictional face generator.
