Continue Draft
The Continue Draft page (League Menu >> Draft >> Continue Draft tab) is where the draft actually takes place:

You can return to other areas of the game at any time to look up other information, but OOTP will not let you advance the game date past the draft date as long as you are controlling a team. (Commissioners who aren't controlling a team can sim right through a draft, and the computer will make all of the necessary selections.)

This page consists of the following distinct sections:

Note: The above links will not work within the in-game help. However, they all simply link to sections lower in this page, so if you are reading this in-game, just scroll down to find the appropriate section!

The Draft Pool
The top of the Continue Draft page is a list of all of the players in the draft pool who have not yet been drafted:

On this page, you can take advantage of OOTP's Views, Filters, and many of the Common Drop-Downs. Review those sections to get a better understanding of how to manipulate the data on this page to suit your needs. A few additional notes about this player list:

Note: Remember, the younger a player is, the harder it is for your scouting team to accurately gauge his potential.

Selected Player
The Selected Player box in the lower left displays key demographic data about the selected player:

Select a player by dragging him from the top pane into the Selected Player box. If you wish to draft this player, choose one of the two draft options:

OptionDescription
Draft PlayerDrafts the player
Draft and Offer SlotDrafts the player and offers them a slot bonus (see Negotiate with Drafted Players for more about slot bonuses). This option is only available in inaugural drafts if you have Advanced Draftee Signings enabled.

Team Info
The Team Info box in the lower middle contains helpful information about your team's organization. It gives a breakdown by position of the number of players on your team, or in your organization (in parentheses). This information can be very helpful to a general manager who is trying to make sure he has a good balance of players in different positions in the organization. This box updates automatically as the draft progresses.

Draft Info
The Draft Info box in the lower right contains data about the current draft, including the draft type and mode, the current round and pick number, the number of players remaining in the draft, the last team to pick, and which player that team selected:

Auto-Draft Action Menu
The Auto-Draft action menu has three options.

OptionDescription
Complete DraftThe computer completes the entire draft, including all picks for human-controlled teams. Choose this option when you are not interested in controlling the draft.
Current RoundThe computer completes all picks in the current round, including all picks for human-controlled teams.
Until Next Pick by TeamThe computer completes all picks until the next pick for the current human manager's team. (This option is not available if you are a commissioner who does not manage a team.)

Completing the Draft
Once you have completed the draft using all of the options above, if it was an inaugural draft, you may receive a message asking if you want the computer manager to initially set up your team. Accepting this offer will place all of your drafted player wherever the AI thinks is best in your organization. If you want to control every little detail of who goes where, refuse this offer.

Then it's time for Post-Draft Activities!
