Pre-Season Games
Pre-Season Games are automatically added for every playable league in the weeks before the regular season begins. They do not count in the standings, but give you an opportunity to experiment with line combinations and look at different players in your system in a game situation. Note that your preseason roster is unlimited in size, and you can call up or send down players during the preseason without the usual morale penalties.
Be aware that players may be considerably less motivated and more inconsistent in these games, and AI coaches will be more willing to experiment with lines and use younger players with a lot of unrealized potential.
