Setting up Global Images

The instructions on the previousscreenassumed that you only wanted to change player images within a specific saved game. However, there are some cases when a global change might be desirable. For example, let's say you have downloaded a set of real MLB player photos, and you want those photos to be used any time you create a new saved game. OOTP accommodates this as well.

To use player or personnel images globally, use the following steps:

1. First, make sure all of your images are in the prescribed naming and image formats.
2. Save the files in the data/photos directory within your OOTP installation.
3. The next time OOTP needs a player image, if it cannot find the image in news/html/images, it will check in data/photos. If there is a matching image, it will be automatically copied into the saved game's news/html/images folder.

Note: This process is only used upon the initial creation of the saved game. If you want to modify images in an already existing saved game, you will need to use the normal image customization process.
